In this brand-new paper from May 2025, scientists show how they used AI agents to drive scientific discovery. The AI analyzed over 550 pieces of literature, identified patterns, generated hypotheses, designed experiments, interpreted results — and kept iterating until they found a treatment for an eye disease. ????

All the researchers did was write the prompts and run the experiments. Wild, right?
