Which mid-range smartphone you opt for will likely depend on your budget, more than anything else. The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G costs £499 here in the UK, a big jump over the £399 A36 model. However, for that extra cash you do get a faster Exynos chipset, which is more capable for gaming on the go.

You also get some slight upgrades to the camera setup, while the Samsung A56 boasts a few more AI features. Whoop. If you'd rather save some cash, no worries - the Galaxy A36 5G still serves up a 5000mAh battery with 45W charging. Plus, that same water-resistant design (minus the metal frame).
